Packing is one of the things we like least about a trip, but it's essential! It also makes a ton of sense to pack light - it's easier to get around, will save you money & in my opinion makes a trip less stressful. As someone who traveled for six months, here are some of my packing tips!
1. Create a list! What are your essentials, nice to haves & must haves.
2. Use compress cubes & separate bags to keep your items organized. I especially like to have my carry-on organized with easy access to headphones, medicine
3. Pack clothes you can mix & match with a similar color pallet and the ability to mix & match
4. Layers are also essential to make sure you have less bulky clothing
5. Pack items that can be used in multiple ways - I always bring a big scarf that I can use as a blanket on the plane, a scarf in cold weather or a beach cover up!
6. Limit shoes - they always take up the most room, so be strategic about your shoe choices!
7. Be strategic about your toiletries! I like to use reusable containers that can hold smaller versions of my favorites as home. Also consider shampoo bars and toothpaste tablets to have less liquids!
8. Don't forget to wear your bulky items on the plane to keep valuable room in your suitcase!
Bonus tip: Make sure you can carry your own bags & bonus you can carry them up stairs. Many countries don't have elevators, so it's important to be able
By choosing versatile, high-quality clothing and packing strategically, you’ll make travel easier and more enjoyable.
